Today, I was completely off-track. No exercise – too many meetings. Plus lunch & dinner were way over calories. I don’t really have a lot to say today, again too many meetings. Tonight, I am watching Bones on Fox Online. I love this online tv show business. I do wish I had figured out how to get my wireless to work so I could watch this in my recliner. I also wish that they would do this with limited commercial interruptions like ABC does with Samantha Who, but I’m really not complaining.
There I journaled today.

I just changed our theme in honor of the great weather we’ve been having – it’ll probably snow now.

The sparkpeople program has you journal daily, as you can see I haven’t been very good at that. Right now, I am very tired and ready to hit the sack. This is going to be a short one.
Things are going well with my efforts at more healthy living. My food habits haven’t been great but I am making great efforts at getting veg’s in my diet and eating less fat.
Today’s walk went well, 2.8 miles I made pretty good time. I’m not sure of the exact time because I stopped to talk to a neighbor around the corner for quite some time. I did find myself slowing down at the end but on the whole I kept a good pace.
I had a great dinner! I made a chicken foil packet, I found the directions at about.com. I googled chicken foil packets and got a lot of results. So if you are looking for something to put in your foil packet there are lots of good ideas out there. I started with their basic idea – meaning the foil, the chicken breast, the cooking spay & olive oil. Then on my chicken breast I put about fajitas seasoning, sea salt, 3/4 of a chopped tomato, about 1/3 of a chopped yellow/orange pepper, a chopped green onion, and a bunch of minced garlic, wrapped it all in foil, 450 degrees 30 minutes (my oven cooks slow, they said 20 minutes). Moist and yummy. It looked smelled and tasted delicious, next time I will take a picture. I also had some pasta and broccoli. I couldn’t finish my dinner (but later I was hungry so definitely some bad food planning).
I read that while eventually exercise will help you have more energy and need less sleep up front, it’ll actually make you more tired. I am still in the more tired stage. So it is off to bed for me! I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I’d love to hear how you guys are doing on squeezing good workouts into your busy lives.
There is a strong chance I will survive this Couch to 5k program. Frankly, today there was some doubt. I got in my Week 2 Day 1 walk/run. I took an amazing 20 seconds off of my first mile. Somehow I didn’t make it as far, but I really slowed it down in my cool down. I am definately looking forward to some yoga tomorrow to stretch out my legs. Right now, I am going to do some more stretching and get me to bed!
Ladies, how is it going? I know Snarky has been in with her trainer, how is that going?
Finally, I finished my 4th run this week. I pushed hard in the first mile & managed to knock off 1:20 mins. Yeah! Still not a great time & the second half of the run was not easy. I need to go do some Easter Bunny shopping – so I better eat a good dinner before I leave the house!
Yesterday’s calories were, ummm, not good. I went over by about 500. I haven’t entered all of today’s but I was attacked by the girl scout cookies (I have got to get those out of the house)! So I’m sure I’ll be over again.
I will not buy candy for me at Target tonight. (All of the Easter Candy is staying at Daddy’s).

I am beat. As part of my sparkpeople.com project, I am supposed to journal every day. Today will be brief. I had a long and stressful day at work. Plus I am tired from 3 days of running. So tonight I took it easy, I did 1 hour of yoga and I walked the dog for about 30 minutes (real slow – just over a mile). We walked down to pick up K from dance class & walked back.
I adjusted my end weight goal so SparkPeople adjusted my calories (down). Now I get between 1210 – 1560. I ended up over (darn those girl scout cookies!). I ended up with 1599 (39 over). I am not going to beat myself up over it – in fact, I had forgotten to take out the wine I didn’t have so it is much better than I thought! I burned at least that much exercising – probably more. I did really great with my water and despite wanting a whole box of tagalogs and a “Hot & Ready” pizza, I had 4 (still too many) cookies & a Lean Cuisine for dinner.
Now it is time to head to bed!
p.s. good weigh-in again today – 185.5! Back down to the -10 mark!
p.s.s. I will admit that I am a touch hungry . . .

Ok, now that my life is out of turmoil (at least until I start my new job), it’s time to get back to weight watchers. My eating habits have really been awful the last few weeks – lots of take out and warmed up nonsense. But, I’m starting over and hoping to make some progress this next month.
OK, so last week I gained 2lbs and this week I have not gained or lost any weight. That puts me at a total loss so far of 6lbs. Not bad but I was hoping to be further along by now. I really need to get back to working out. Now that we are moved in and have a lot of our stuff unpacked it should be easier to do. Also, I am really looking forward to daylight savings time starting on Sunday. The additional sunlight will make walking after work a lot more do-able. Yippee!
